As a general rpg class, a decker from shadow run, duh. They hack into the Internet and deal with ICE and are generally awesome. Though from a fantasy standpoint I still like you as an alchemist, as int-based, duh, with more of a bomb/infusion base. I could also see you do a lot of crafting from that class, too. I just never really liked you as SUPER mystical, but I did think you'd have spell casting of some kind.

Well I don’t play shadowrun, but I guess that sounds cool!

As for pathfinder I think I’d make a shit bomber alchemist. I could see myself as an alchemist, but one that is not at all focused on bombs. Maybe a Mindchemist, idk. The problem with me being an alchemist is that DEX is one of my worst stats.

Yes, Sarah. You are an Int-based thing. But does that necessarily mean caster? Does that exclude melee? Enter the Duskblade. According to one of my favourite guides: "Duskblades are intellectual warriors." They're similar to Magus' from 3.5 - but less animu and absurd. Alternatively, the Star Hexblade. Hexblades are a variation on the Warlock class from 4e. Unlike most pacts, Star Hexblades don't really know who they're bargaining with for their fell powers. Which means, Elder Gods. :P
A reply from theabsurdkitty

Oooo, I like these two. From what I read it seems like the Hexblade has more flavor, and I like that, but unfortunately their spellcasting is based on Charisma, so it probably wouldn’t work out for me. Duskblade is a nice alternative to Magus though. :)

movedtoundeadpaladin replied to your post:
That’s why I specified Star Pact hex blades! They are int based :)

Oh shit, didn’t see that, but yeah you’re right. I think it would be cool. I don’t know if I’m cool enough for that class, but I like it! As long as I’m not getting powers from you know who. Though I guess reword me had a patron almost as bad just as bad. >_> Fuckin Kurono…

A message from pahein
It's OP as hell, but I could see you as the Arcanist-- something about the flavor of the class strikes me as right for you.

Actually yeah. It would make a lot of sense. If I were an arcanist with mythic ranks in arch mage I’d be the most OP thing around. Though I’m stupid and would probably get bored and take class levels in cleric, and then become an arcanist/cleric/mystic theurge of Nethys. Then I’d be much less OP.

You know, there's a solution where you're both a melee character and an intelligence based caster! The kids these days call it... THE MAGUS.

Oh I know they exist! I just choose to pretend they don’t. I have a horrible bias against Magus. While I should like the class in theory because they are mages and melee, I don’t. They don’t do the type of magic I like, and I also prefer two-handed weapons. I have many more reasons for hating them, most are based on personal experience, but I won’t go into that now.

I think I’d probably go with the horribly unoptimized prestige route of Eldritch Knight, if I was trying to do the spellcaster/fighter thing. Like Gandalf! Gandalf is like an Eldritch Knight, right? Or maybe just a high-level wizard with fighter dips. Either way, I’d be that.

A message from wingsontheside
I've actually always seen you as a duel wielding cyberblade. They're basically spell blades except all their abilities deal with technology (mostly computers) and they can hack practically anything with their minds.

So I’d be like that one kid from Heroes? Expect with a sword? I can dig it. XD In the context for pathfinder though, I’d have to say Technomancer would be highly likely for me if I were to do the whole tech thing. I unfortunately lack the physical stats to actually be a melee class.

A message from theabsurdkitty
Cleric of a cause. The cause? Social Justice. XD I could also see you as Abjurer.
A reply from pahein

I can see that. Even if it wasn’t the class I’d be best at, I think it’s the one I’d be drawn to, if that makes any sense? Much like I’m drawn to religious and social-justice-y careers today.

The problem remains, of course, that I like and remain best at making ideas into things… which is more of a support role to the cause of social justice than anything else.

Maybe I’d be, like, whatever my main thing was, but then multiclass a level or two in cleric on the side or something.

I thought abjurer, cause I figured you could easily be a wizard, I tend to associate the abjuration school with a support-ish role since it has a lot of defensive spells, but I can see how the whole “warding off other magic” thing wouldn’t be your style. I personally just think abjuration is a cool school, and I couldn’t decide which of the others would fit you best. Though, now that I’m thinking about it more, I could also see you as a conjurer too. Regardless of school specialization, I think I can confidently say you’d be a crafter! :)

What RPG class would you assign me?

A Short Story

Thor asked me to post this somewhere so I will. It’s the first short story I wrote for my creative writing class this term. It’s like really short too, we had a three page limit, so yeah. It’s about my character Zaine, so I figured some peeps on here might wanna read it too. It’s only a first draft so sorry if it sucks:
