I decided to start a new holiday today, Draw Your Cat In A Dress Day! Draw your cat in a dress. If you don’t have one, draw fan art of a friend’s cat (I bet they’d like it) or maybe even draw your dream cat wearing a dress!
Post it on Tumblr with the hashtag: #draw your cat in a dress day

i’m gonna do this during my lunch break today!!

saving this for when I actually have a cat.

WE HAVE A CAT YOU MUST DRAW HIM IN A DRESS NOW. NOOOOOWWWWWW!

just because you are a badass warrior woman who can cut a man in half doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some goddamned delicate pretty needlework.

Cosplay adventures! So I’m working on a new costume! This one is for my boyfriend, and it’s the new Vladimir skin, called Soul Stealer Vlad. Today was my first real day working on the project and I did some very constructive experimentation. I started by working on the bones attached to his calves. Yesterday I did some spray foam, and tried to carve the basic pattern out which brought little success. Today, I decided to try the base with model magic, and it was much smoother. Then I glued on newspaper strips to smooth it out even more. I added a layer of homemade goopy paper mache mix, and dried it with a heat gun. Afterwards I decided to do a base coat of paint to see if it would look the way I wanted it to, but it didn’t. D: So then I came up with the great idea of putting some joint compound over it to smooth it out yet again. After some sanding, I really liked the texture I was getting. So what you see above is a partially sanded, unpainted version. However, this was just a test run. I won’t be using this in the final costume because I want to cut down the process a bit. I’m removing the paper mache goop layer, and I might try regular foam as the base instead of the model magic, because I’d like it to be lighter if possible. Also this version had a bend in the middle of the cardboard that I used for the base which caused some complications so I’ll be avoiding that for next time. Maybe I can try and get the bottom part to look less like a pair of balls too! That might be a lost cause though. Anyway good practice and progress, now I have a better idea of what to do moving forward.

have some more old filler stuff as I scramble with exams this month.

The Adventurer Alphabet, something I started around a year ago and never finished. Messy and missing a handful of letters, but I still somewhat like the idea behind it. Might revisit and re-stylize this some day.

"Unwanted sexual attention is uncomfortable for just about everybody. Sometimes I’m jealous of women because, in the current social landscape, they do much less approaching and pursuit than men. It seems nice—sit back and wait for your future significant other to ask you out. Easy, right?

Then it occurs to me that, if I were in a girl’s shoes, I would not really be deciding who approached me. I would have no control if it was a guy I actually liked, or somebody who scared and creeped me out."

Reblogging, because my beloved boyfriend always makes note of how it’s easier for girls because they get approached much more often then guys do. But yeah, before I met him I had a super creepy 25 year old (I was 18 at the time) pursuing me relentlessly, even after I had told him I wasn’t interested. That really kind of freaked me out, so yeah, it’s not as easy as you may think being a girl, unwanted attention happens.

I made this today…I should get out more. Armchair casting is on the short list of my favorite dumb games.

When the book came out 14 years ago, I thought Vin Diesel would work. He’s way too old now. Sorry Vin.

Let the casting games begin! (Er. Again.)
